Ku Klux Klan (KKK) collection, 1924-1936.

The papers include various pamphlets produced by the Ku Klux Klan for internal use. These pamphlets include such items as the Constitution and Law, Installation Ceremonies, and Funeral Services. Also within the collection is an acceptance speech, membership application forms, robe and supply requisition forms, and copies of official Klan documents. Of special interest is a ledger book/membership roster and a copy of the sheet music for "The Bright Fiery Cross."

The Ku Klux Klan was formally incorporated under the laws of the state of Georgia on Dec. 4, 1915. The incorporated organization is a continuance of the earlier post Civil War Reconstruction Era unincorporated Ku Klux Klan and of the Knights of the White Camellia.
